I Love You

What is a Mother's love?

It is something that is very, very special.

It is something that no one can really explain.

It's something that is made up of much deep

devotion, joy, pain and sacrifice.

It is endless and unselfish and it endures

whatever may come.

It is full of hopes, dreams, tears and pleasure.

Nothing can ever destroy it

or take that special love away.

It is very patient and forgiving.

A Mother's love is a lifelong commitment to selflessness.

More often than not, it requires much more

giving than receiving.

But it is something that is given with delight,

gratitude, enthusiasm and much satisfaction.

A Mother's love never fails or falters

even though the heart is breaking.

It is always believing when all the rest

of the world is condemning.

A Mother's love is a splendored miracle

that man cannot understand...

...for it has no beginning or no end.

Thank you Mom.....I love you.

Portrait of A Friend

I can't give solutions to all of

life's problems, doubts, or fears.

But I can listen to you

and together we will search for answers.

I can't change your past

with all it's heartache and pain,

nor the future with it's untold stories.

But I can be there now when you need me to care.

I can't keep your feet from stumbling.

I can only offer my hand

that you may grasp it and not fall.

Your joys, triumphs, success,

and happiness are not mine;

Yet I can share in your laughter.

Your decisions in life

are not mine to make, nor to judge;

I can only support you, encourage you,

and help you when you ask.

I can't prevent you

from falling away from friendship,

from your values, from me.

I can only pray for you, talk to you, and wait for you.

I can't give you boundaries

which I have determined for you,

But I can give you the room to change,

room to grow, room to be yourself.

I can't keep your heart

from breaking and hurting,

But I can cry with you

and help you pick up the pieces

and put them back in place.

I can't tell you who you are.

I can only love you

and be your friend.

If One Day...

If one day
you feel like crying
Call me.
I don't promise you
that I will make you laugh
but I can cry with you.
If one day you want to run away
Don't be afraid to call me.
I don't promise to ask you to stop,
but I can run with you.
If one day
you don't want to listen to nobody
Call me ...
and I promise to be very quiet.
But if one day you call
and there is no answer ...
Come fast to see me
Perhaps I need you....

Hugs from Heaven

When you feel a gentle breeze
Caress you when you sigh
It's a hug sent from Heaven
From a loved one way up high.

If a soft and tender raindrop
Lands upon your nose
They've added a small kiss
As fragile as a rose.

If a song you hear fills you
With a feeling of sweet love
It's a hug sent from Heaven
From someone special up above.

If you awaken in the morning
To a bluebird's chirping song
It's music sent from Heaven
To cheer you all day long.

If tiny little snowflakes
Land upon your face
It's a hug sent from Heaven
Trimmed with Angel lace.

So keep the joy in your heart
If you're lonely my dear friend
Hugs that are sent from Heaven
A broken heart will mend.

Cherished Friends

God must have known there would be times
we'd need a word of cheer.
Someone to praise a triumph
or brush away a tear.

He must have known we'd need
to share the joy of "little things"
In order to appreciate
the happiness life brings.

I think He knew our troubled hearts
would sometimes throb with pain,
At trials and misfortunes,
or goals we can't attain.

He knew we'd need the comfort
of an understanding heart
To give us strength and courage
to make a fresh, new start.

He knew we'd need companionship,
unselfish....lasting....true,
And so God answered the heart's great need
with Cherished Friends....like you!!

On The Wings Of Prayer

ON THE WINGS OF A PRAYER

Just close your eyes and open your heart,
And feel your worries and cares depart.
Just yield yourself to the Father above,
And let Him hold you secure in His love.

For life on earth grows more involved,
With endless problems that can't be solved,
But God only ask us to do our best,
Then He will take over and finish the rest.

So when you are tired, discouraged and blue,
There is always one door that is open to you,
And that is the door to The House of Prayer,
And you'll find God waiting to meet you there.

And The House of Prayer is no further away,
than the quiet spot where you kneel and pray.
For the heart is a temple where God is there
As we place ourselves in His loving care.

And He hears every prayer and answers each one
When we Pray in His name - Thy will be done.
The burdens that seemed too heavy to bear
Are lifted away on the wings of a prayer.

You're Always There

YOU'RE ALWAYS THERE

As I kneel before You every day

And I offer up my prayer,

It's such a blessed comfort, Lord,

To know You're always there.

And in those times of fear and doubt,

When I feel I'm on my own,

It's such a joy to know You're there,

And that I'm really not alone.

When confusion clouds my troubled mind,

And I stumble to and fro,

I know You'll be my guiding light,

And show me the way to go.

When I feel so weak and helpless, Lord,

And discouraged in the fight,

You fill me with Your joy and strength,

And the power of Your might.

And when my heart is bleeding, Lord,

From words that cut like a knife,

You touch me and You heal me,

As I read Your words of life.

When my cares and burdens weigh me down,

And are more than I can bear,

You lift them off my shoulders, Lord,

And assure me that You care.

Yes, Lord, I know I can count on You,

As I come to You in prayer,

And I know that You will hear my cry,

For I know You're always there.

What I Love About You

I love the way you look at me,

Your eyes so bright and blue,

I love the way you kiss me,

Your lips so soft and smooth.

I love the way you make me laugh,

And the ways you show me you care,

I love the way you say, "I Love You"

And the way you're always there.

I love the way you touch me,

Always sending chills down my spine.

I love that you are with me,

And glad forever you are mine.

I Found God Today

I Found God Today
By LORENZO CHARLES II

I found God today through the eyes of a child.

He looked up at me and he gave me a smile.

He brought me such comfort for which I have longed.

Through the eyes of a child, I realized I belonged.

I found God today in an old woman's face.

As she held my hands, I felt God's embrace.

From problems in life, I knew I would prevail.

Which I felt through her hands so old and so frail.

I found God today in the warmth of a friend

Who has given me strength for which I can depend.

When life had me down and I felt so depressed,

I realized through my friend just how much I was blessed.

I found God today when I searched for so long

And it's now I realize, He's been there all along.

In family and friends and in all who I see.

Each day I find God and now I have found Him in me.

May You Be Blessed

May you be blessed with all things good.

May your joys, like the stars at night, be too numerous to count.

May your victories be more abundant than all the grains of sand

on all the beaches on all the oceans in all the world.

May lack and struggle be always absent from your life

and may beauty order and abundance be your constant companions.

May every pathway you choose lead to

that which is pure and good and lovely.

May every doubt and fear be replaced by a deep abiding trust

as you behold evidence of a Higher Power all around you.

And when there is only darkness and the storms of life are closing in

May the light at the core of your being illuminate the world.

May you always be aware you are loved beyond measure

and may you be willing to love unconditionally in return.

May you always feel protected and cradled in the arms of God,

like the cherished child you are.

And when you are tempted to judge may you be reminded

that we are all ONE and that every thought you think reverberates

across the universe, touching everyone and everything.

And when you are tempted to hold back,
may you remember that love flows best when it flows freely
and it is in giving that we receive the greatest gift.

May you always have music and laughter

and may a rainbow follow every storm.

May gladness wash away every disappointment.

May joy dissolve every sorrow and my love ease every pain.

May every wound bring wisdom and every trial bring triumph

and with each passing day may you live

more abundantly than the day before.

May you be blessed

And may others be blessed by you.

This is my heartfelt wish for you.

May you be blessed.

I Know Something Good About You

Wouldn't this world be better

If the folks we meet would say,

"I know something good about you!"

And treat us just that way?

Wouldn't it be fine and dandy

If each handclasp, fond and true,

Carried with it this assurance,

"I know something good about you!"

Wouldn't life be lots more happy

If the good that's in us all

Was the only thing about us

That folks bothered to recall?

Wouldn't life be lots more happy

If we praised the good we see?

For there's such a lot of goodness

In the worst of you and me!

Wouldn't it be nice to practice

That fine way of thinking too?

You know something good about me,

I know something good about you!

I'd Like To Be

FOR YOU...wherever you are.

I'd like to be the sort of friend that
you have been to me;
I'd like to be the help that
you've been always glad to be;

I'd like to mean as much to you
each minute of the day
As you have meant, old friend of mine,
to me along the way.

I'd like to do the big things and
the splendid things for you,
To brush the gray out from your skies
and leave them only blue;

I'd like to say the kindest things that
I so oft have heard,
And feel that I could rouse your soul
the way that mine you've stirred.

I'd like to give you back the joy
that you have given me,
Yet that were wishing you a need
I hope will never be;

I'd like to make you feel as rich as I,
who travel on
Undaunted in the darkest hours
with you to lean upon.

I'm wishing at this time that
I could but repay
A portion of the gladness that
you've strewn along my way;

And could I have one wish this year,
this only would it be:
I'd like to be the sort of friend
that you have been to me.

True Friends

True friends will always stay with you,

Through good times and through bad.

They'll take the time to listen,

When something's made you sad.

When you're feeling lonely,

They'll let you know they care.

They may be very busy but,

They'll find the time to share.

True friends are happy for you,

When good things come your way.

They'll celebrate your triumphs

And encourage you each day.

If you have a friend that's true,

Count your blessings for this gift.

For, she will stay with you forever,

When the rest have gone adrift.

I Love The Way...

I love the way you hold me

in your arms so tight.

I love how you can make me smile

and make everything alright.

I love the way you kiss me

so gently on my lips.

I love the way you hold my hand

and caress my fingertips.

I love the way you look at me

so deep into my eyes.

I love the way you tell truth

you never tell me lies.

I love the way that we first met

I fell for you right away.

I love it how I know

that you'll never go away.

I love the words you say to me

they always make me smile.

I love the way you're so mature

yet sometimes juvenile.

I love the way you sing to me

of songs so very sweet.

I love the way you make me feel

like my life is so complete.

I love that we're together

where would I be without you?

I love the way you love me

and how I love you, too.

I Want To Be The Woman

When you wake up in the morning,
Under sunlit skies of blue,
I want to be the woman,
Who wakes up next to you.

Whenever you are unhappy,
And those skies are filled with rain,
I want to be the woman,
Who makes you smile again.

When you look in someones eyes,
And say your love is true,
I want to be the woman,
Who is staring back at you.

When you have nice dreams,
The warm and fuzzy kind,
I want to be the woman,
Who puts them in your mind.

When all is said and done,
I think you know it's true,
I want to be the woman,
Who means everything to you.

After The Rain

AFTER THE RAIN

Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
There will always be sunshine, after the rain.
Perhaps you may stumble, you might even fall
But God's always ready to answer your call.

He knows every heartache, sees every tear
A word from His lips can calm every fear.
Your sorrows may linger throughout the night
But suddenly vanish at dawn's early light.

The Savior is waiting somewhere above,
To give you His grace and send you His love.
Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
God always sends rainbows, After the Rain.
